- Bestand: Nicht gefährdet; Unterart Arabischer Strauß Ausgestorben (seit ca. 1960); Populationsrückgang durch Jagd, Eiersammeln und Lebensraumverlust.

- Verbreitung: Afrika (Äthiopien; Djibouti; Somalia; Kenia).
- Bestand: Gefährdet; Populationsrückgang durch Jagd, Eiersammeln und Lebensraumverlust.
